Welcome on the Neurocentre Magendie website.

The Neurocentre Magendie is a multidisciplinary center dedicated to an integrated study of Neurosciences ranging from neurological and behavioural pathologies to the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neural activity. In particular, the specific aim of the Neurocentre Magendie is the understanding of the pathophysiology of neuronal plasticity.

Created in January 2007, the Neurocentre Magendie includes more than 170 researchers, technicians, post-docs and PhD students of many different nationalities, distributed among 10 research teams and 6 common technical platforms. The members of the Centre have 8000 m² available, located in the heart of the campus of the University of Bordeaux Segalen. With the Centre's weekly scientific meetings, monthly post-docs meetings and annual symposium, every member can take advantage of the knowledge and expertise of our community.

Sixteen other laboratories are associated with the Neurocentre and are part of the Institute of the Neurosciences of Bordeaux which includes 600 persons, thus further expanding the technical resources and training capacities of our community.

The Neurocenter Magendie offers a dynamic, international and scientifically stimulating environment. We help all our future co-workers by facilitating their installation at the Center and making sure that they will receive all the administrative and technical support needed to begin their new scientific journey in the best conditions possible.
